Treatment: Solution Focused, Brief & Effective
Post Traumatic Stress or Acute Stress are neurobiological responses to experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event such as: combat, natural disaster, assault or imminent danger. If you find yourself experiencing symptoms such as: hyper-arousal (feeling constantly on alert), insomnia, nightmares, avoiding activities you previously enjoyed, and/or feeling distant or cut off from people; know that these symptoms can be alleviated!

Using trauma focused therapies such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) or Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), we essentially reprogram traumatic memories to decrease or eliminate the emotional charge they hold. In this process, known as memory reconsolidation, we essentially "keep the knowledge, lose the pain". For more information about these therapies click here EMDR & ART
